Alexis Miranda Foundation (AMF) is collaborating with International Medical Equipment Collaborative (IMEC) to renovate a number of schools that serve children with Autism. AMF identified a number of schools as institutions that has a comprehensive educational program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities. School that we pick as beneficiaries of our resources have an outstanding track record spanning over several years. These schools have served children with disabilities for a while and withstood the test of time. The schools embodies what our foundation stands for. The schools are making great effort in the lives of children and adults with disabilities and we believe they can have an even greater impact with updated infrastructure and equipment. The existing schools offers intensive, individualized educational programs developed for each student based on assessments to determine skill deficits, general adaptive functioning, and behaviors interfering with learning. AMF would like to assist the school to obtain state of the art facilities. This will allow them to offer children and adults with disabilities the tools necessary to improve their lives and afford them skills required to be functioning members of their families and community.
