This past week has been absolutely amazing for team AMF! With your help we were able to make a big impact in Ghana. The Alexis Miranda Foundation created a National Autism Trainer of Trainers Program in conjunction with the Ministry of Education (MOE) & Ghana Education Services (GES). We are thrilled to have Elizabeth Katherine M.S. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), LABA and Jermaine Henderson M.S. Ed Special Education as our resource people. Our local team in Ghana that comprises of Esinam Dzameshie Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT) and Gifty Ayoka Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) have helped make the training successful. None of this would have been possible without our Executive Director Lynn Dadzie for her vision, direction and passion.
This training is essential to the capacity building of special education teachers in Ghana. It is our hope that they will go back to all 10 regions of Ghana and pass on the key knowledge, skills and techniques that we were able to equip them with. One of our goals is to revolutionize the face of special education in Ghana and we just made a huge stride. The response has been phenomenal and we hope you see all the good that you have helped us with.
