Alexis Miranda Foundation has in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service held a training program dubbed the “Trainer of Trainers” programme.
Two teachers from each of the 10 regions of Ghana were selected and trained by 2 specialists in the field of Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis on autism.
The trainers, from the U.S, were accompanied by Lynn Dadzie-Yeboah, Founder of the Alexis Miranda Foundation Ghana. Topics covered included Introduction to Autism and ABA as well as key components among others.
Organizers say it was put together to equip the teachers with the necessary skills and techniques essential for autism education.
