As we at AMF continue to monitor the developments of COVID-19, we hope that you and your family are staying healthy and safe. While the pandemic has profoundly affected everyone worldwide, the impacts felt by the autism community run deep.
In addition to changes in work, school, and routine, parents are concerned that such a disrupted schedule and lack of support may cause their child’s progress to stagnate or regress. Without the support of regular educational and behavioral therapy, parents have taken on several new and challenging roles to provide for their children. We sincerely applaud all of your efforts.
We at AMF remain committed to serving the community by way of sharing CDC compliant, at-home resources, to enrich your child’s homeschooling. If you know of resources that could benefit others, please share them with us, so we can make them more widely available. In the coming weeks, we hope to take more steps to help better equip families in the USA and in Ghana with supplies and resources during this hardship. We are here for you- just let us know what we can do.
Alexis Miranda Foundation is the proud beneficiary of a generous donation from the MTN Ghana Foundation. We are elated at their belief in our cause and hope to continue to foster support from them and welcome partnerships from other corporate organizations to change the face of Autism in Ghana.
The foundation was established to help increase Autism awareness globally and to support families and providers of children with learning disabilities. The Alexis Miranda Foundation (AMF) is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by Autism and other disabilities.
