GivingTuesday

Join Us This GivingTuesday to Transform Lives!

Mark your calendar: Tuesday, December 3 is GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity that unites millions to make a difference in their communities and around the world.

At the Alexis Miranda Foundation, we are proud to launch a groundbreaking program designed to improve the lives of young adults and adults in the autism community.

Here’s why your support is crucial:
When adults with profound autism age out of school systems, the lack of client-centered programs and a workforce crisis often leave them isolated at home. But we’re determined to change that.

Our new social, recreational, and career readiness program provides daily opportunities for adults with autism to engage with their community, build critical skills, and pursue fulfilling lives. Together, we can ensure that they thrive, not just survive.

This GivingTuesday, our goal is to raise $25,000 to bring this program to life. Every dollar you give directly impacts adults with autism, providing them with the support, tools, and community they deserve.

Your generosity can make this possible.

Donate Now and help us create a brighter future for adults with profound autism.

Together, let’s show the power of radical generosity. Thank you for believing in this mission.

Why Recreation?

Research highlights that recreational activities, particularly sports, can serve as valuable supplemental therapy for individuals with autism. The Alexis Miranda Foundation Recreation Team offers a diverse range of programs, including sports and creative arts activities. Among these is our Rock Climbing Sports program, while our standout offerings include water tubing, jet skiing, equine therapy, horsemanship, and modeling.

Our approach incorporates evidence-based strategies to teach skills to individuals with autism, uniquely blending physical exercise with techniques that foster communication, social interaction, and self-regulation skills.

Through these programs, participants are gaining confidence to engage in recreational activities, explore public spaces, and even join lessons or group classes led by local sports professionals.

Our team is committed to transforming recreation for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, and we need your support! We are raising funds for the operation of our autism-friendly recreation programs

As GivingTuesday approaches, we will highlighting the need to impactful ways our recreation programs support autistic individuals. Help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 by making a contribution today!
