MISSION
The Alexis Miranda Foundation (AMF) is a global nonprofit dedicated to raising autism awareness and supporting families of children with learning disabilities. As a 501(c)(3) organization, AMF works to improve the quality of life for individuals affected by autism through education, advocacy, and resources. Together, we strive for a more inclusive world where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
OUR GOAL
Our goal at the Alexis Miranda Foundation is to provide impactful programs that help individuals with autism reach their full potential. In the New England area, we aim to offer recreational programs that promote social and emotional development, while in Ghana, we are committed to delivering educational programs to empower individuals with learning disabilities. Through these efforts, we strive to ensure that individuals in both regions receive the support and resources they need to thrive and contribute to their communities.
WHAT WE BELIEVE IN
We believe that with proper information and education we will be able to dispel the stigma associated with Autism and other disabilities. We believe early detection and intervention is crucial to making great strides in the development of any child on the spectrum. We believe by assisting families of people with Autism on how to get the necessary professional help; we can make an impact in the lives of these children. We believe each child has a unique ability and it is our duty to help them recognize that and excel.
OUR STORY
In 2002, our family’s world changed when our sweet little girl was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. It was a challenging time, but our love for her and for each other gave us the strength to find a way forward. Determined to help her reach her full potential, we enrolled her in a school specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), where a dedicated team of therapists and doctors worked tirelessly alongside her. Thanks to their efforts, she has made remarkable progress.
However, during our travels around the world, we saw firsthand the overwhelming lack of awareness and support for children with learning disabilities. Too many families were left without the resources they desperately needed to help their children thrive. This realization ignited a new mission for us: to raise global awareness and provide essential support to children with learning disabilities, empowering them to reach their full potential and become active contributors to their communities and the world.
We invite you to join us on this journey—together, we can ensure that every child, no matter where they live, has the opportunity to succeed and make a meaningful impact. Your support can change lives.
