Also in 2019, the Alexis Miranda Foundation was privileged to be nominated for the illustrious GUBA USA Award for charity of the year. (Ghana UK Based Achievement Awards) GUBA Awards promotes closer economic, cultural and social links between Ghana and the United Kingdom. Launched in 2010 as the GUBA Awards, the annual event celebrates and acknowledges the contribution of Ghanaian and African based businesses and individuals in the United Kingdom and this year expanded to the USA.
Alexis Miranda Foundation was honored to be nominated and even more so in the presence of the President of Ghana (pictured below), Ambassadors from other nations and the UN as well as other prominent ministers such us Ghana’s Minister for Information Hon. Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah(pictured below) and people in power who were in attendance.
