We were honored to partner with the Yale Model African Union (YMAU) during their recent conference in Accra, Ghana, and I was proud to be in attendance as Founder and Executive Director of the Alexis Miranda Foundation.πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

YMAU brings together some of the brightest young minds from across Africa and the diaspora to engage in critical conversations around policy, innovation, and the future of the continent. This year’s focus on youth, leadership, and innovation strongly aligns with our mission at the Alexis Miranda Foundation: to build systems, create opportunities, and drive meaningful change in the lives of individuals and families impacted by autism.

Our decision to partner with YMAU was intentional.

We believe that the future of impactful, sustainable change lies in investing in young leaders, those who are not only academically strong, but who are passionate, solutions-driven, and globally minded. The synergy between our organizations is clear: while YMAU cultivates leadership, diplomacy, and policy thinking, we provide a platform for real-world impact in health, advocacy, and systems-building.

Through this partnership, we are excited to:
* Identify and recruit emerging talent to support and grow our global work
* Engage students in meaningful, hands-on opportunities within the Alexis Miranda Foundation
* Build a pipeline of young leaders who will contribute to the success of the upcoming African Allied Healthcare Network (AAHN) Conference and beyond

This is more than a partnership, it is an investment in the next generation of changemakers who will help shape the future of healthcare, advocacy, and inclusive development across Africa and the diaspora.

The work continues, and we are just getting started.πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™
